Camp Cook behind the Camera
Hello and Welcome! My name is Alden White Ballard and I am delighted that you are here.
What I love about photography is the captured moment, that split second that you clicked the shutter and preserved time.
I washed dishes for a summer as a teen to earn the money to buy my first camera and I have rarely been without one ever since.
My husband and I own and operate Elk Fork Outfitters where we work doing horse-powered camping trips in the summer and hunting camp in the fall. Taking pictures allows me to share a way of life that is unknown to many people.
My grandmother used to tell us, "Always be intelligently observing!" and I have taken her words to heart in my life and my pictures. Whether at a rodeo, riding down the trail, or tending to my garden, I try to notice and appreciate the little things that make life so special and then capture them in an image that can be shared and enjoyed forever.
Thanks for letting me share a little bit of the West with you!
P.S. If you'd like to experience our corner of the Wyoming wilderness for yourself and come on a pack trip or hunt with us, visit our website at www.elkforkoutfitters.net to learn more. We look forward to answering your questions and planning a wonderful trip for you!
